Today's ring belongs to a bride married in September of 2007. We love the vintage setting of this ring, the pave accents, and the delicate detailing on the trapezoid side stones.  And, the wedding band compliments the ring so perfectly!  Not to mention, we love the fact that her husband picked this out all on his own...bravo!

RingSpotters: A Wine Country Wedding

Today we would like to feature a wedding of one of our RingSpotter brides. We showcased her gorgeous radiant rings in May, and now we have the photographs from her breathtaking wedding at the Firestone Vineyards in Los Olivos, California. Here are the rings on her big day...

 

The bride also sent us some of her favorite photos from the wedding. The photographer, Katie Moos, did a fabulous job capturing the incredible detail that went into creating such a fresh, bright, and intimate setting. The couple married on an expansive lawn overlooking the valley and vineyards underneath the most beautiful Oak tree. Flowers, done by Santa Barbara florist Modern Day Design were just stunning. As you can gather from the pictures, this bride has impeccable taste.  

 

 

Fun tidbit about this wedding:  Two photographs from this wedding (the bridesmaid's bouquet and the cake shown above) appeared in the movie "Its Complicated".

This stunning vintage Art Deco inspired ring was submitted by a loyal reader whose husband happens to photograph jewelry for Philip Press (hence the amazing picture). There is so much to look at in this fabulous ring - the filigree detailing, the delicate pave work surrounding the center stone, and the raised intricate setting.  Not to mention, the stunning three stone diamonds!  If this ring looks this good digitally, we can only imagine how it must look in person!

An Engagement Story: Here we were on top of the Arc de Triomphe, gazing at the Eiffel Tower, when out popped a little box and a big question! The setting and the moment couldn't have been more romantic. While I knew the moment was coming since we picked out my ring together, my hubby picked the perfect time.   We had looked everywhere for a platinum engagement ring - all of the top designers and some wanna-be's, but nothing stood out to me. Some were clunky, others lacked finesse and most were just plain boring. Then our friends turned us on to Philip Press and we were so happy they did. So many beautiful rings and other platinum jewelry. We were so impressed with the jewelry my husband started doing some photography work for the designer!

Today's ring belongs to a Los Angeles bride of four years. Her fingers are all sparkles with this beautiful radiant cut solitaire.  The radiant cut is one of our favorite cuts because it is the most brilliant of the square cut diamonds.  It boasts the beautiful combination of the classic emerald cut and the sparkle of the round brilliant.   This cut, as you can see, is very dramatic as a solitaire and simply beautiful.

A Jewelry Story: I didn't know anything about diamonds or what kind I liked before I got engaged, so my husband had no hints or ideas whatsoever going into it. But lucky for me, he's the kind of person who does extensive research before buying anything, and after a lot of thought, he decided that a radiant cut solitaire would be perfect for me. He was right! I love my ring and still find myself every now and then staring at it like it was the day he gave it to me. I decided on an unadorned platinum wedding band because I thought the simplicity of it highlighted the raised solitaire stone and showed off its beauty in a classy and timeless way.
